Where It All Began
It all started with a simple idea: to capture Vancouver’s vibrant culture, one story at a time. Back in the early days, Maple Life was born as “Maple Life TV” under the Burnaby Digital Media Group. Our vision? To bring the heartbeat of Metro Vancouver to life by showcasing its culture, businesses, and diverse stories. Developing our brand story was key to our success. We set out on a mission to tell authentic tales, shining a spotlight on everyday people and the local gems that make our city so unique.
Our First Steps in Vancouver
As we started hitting the streets of Vancouver, Maple Life quickly became more than just a platform; we became a trusted friend. From chatting with people on busy corners to interviewing local business owners, political figures, and inspiring entrepreneurs, our approach was simple: stay real, be genuine, and listen. Building this brand story has struck a chord, and before we knew it, we were building a community that felt just like home.
Milestone: We grew into a strong community engagement platform, creating content that connected with Vancouverites from all walks of life.
Expanding Our Brand Reach: The Power of Partnerships
As we found our rhythm, we realized the true magic happens when we join forces. We teamed up with amazing local brands like Staples, Chella Snacks, numerous local restaurants (including a few with a Michelin star) and a brand new partnership with Fintel Connect, offering them a space to share their stories with our engaged audience. Through these partnerships, our brand story grew richer. It wasn’t just about us anymore—it was about amplifying voices across the city and giving local businesses the stage they deserve.
Becoming “Legit”
As we continued to grow, we knew it was time to step up our game. We realized how necessary it was to have our own website, which is going live on October 1, 2024!
We also worked hard to structure promotional packages tailored to suit different needs, from basic promotions to elite partnerships. With our help, local businesses were finally reaching their target audience in a way that felt genuine and effective.
A New Chapter In Our Brand Story
With growth came change, and so Maple Life TV became simply “Maple Life.” Our rebranding marks a new chapter in our brand story. This transformation wasn’t just about a new name—it was about embracing who we had become. Our new logo, featuring vibrant conversation bubbles, symbolizes the many voices we engage with daily.
Today, we’re a community of over 4.5 million, with over 250K engaged followers across our channels. The conversations are richer, the stories are deeper, and the connections are stronger.
Vancouver, But Always at Home
Now, Maple Life stands as a leading voice in Metro Vancouver, but we’re not stopping here. We’re dreaming bigger, aiming to bring our storytelling magic to communities across Canada. While Vancouver will always be our heart, we’re ready to share the voices, cultures, and unique businesses from coast to coast. Our mission remains the same: to be the go-to platform for hyper-local stories, celebrating the diversity and spirit of every community we touch.
What Maple Life Means Today
Certainly, our journey is a testament to what can happen when you stay true to who you are. Our evolving brand story is about community, authenticity, and the belief that every story—big or small—is worth telling. From our early days as Maple Life TV to the thriving platform we are today, one thing has remained constant: our passion for bringing people together through the power of storytelling.
And this is just the beginning. Here’s to many more stories, connections, and unforgettable moments with Maple Life! 💛
